Osteoporosis is a disease affecting bones and is caused by the decrease of the tissue that forms both of the proteins that constitute the matrix and the structure of the mineral salts containing calcium. Result in skeletal demineralization leaves brittle and susceptible to fractures and bone microfractures occur. This condition occurs mostly in women, amenorrheic or postmenupausicas due to decreased production of estrogen by the ovaries and other hormonal deficiencies.
