Myopia, also known as short and hipometropia view is a visual anomaly that causes blurred vision for distant objects because of dysfunction in the retina. Thus, although the view is normal at close range, as you look away, are gradually blurring the images. There are many degrees of myopia, with high myopia which exceeds the 6.5 diopters. The most used for the correction of this condition are resources glasses and contacts, but increasingly patients are operated by laser surgery, whose application depends on the characteristics of each eye there. This intervention is to modify the surface of the cornea to correct the affected diopters. Finally, in the most acute myopia, the placement of intraocular lenses, which function is the same as the outer lenses but located within the eye and permanent way possible.
